Canon Marketing Malaysia Unveils A Wide New Range of Photographic and Digital Solution Products

The DIGIC 4 imaging technology that has incorporated in IXUS 980 IS (3.7x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer) and IXUS 870 IS (4x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer), provides a remarkable high speed rendering of fine detail, natural color reproduction, minimal noise and enhanced signal processing speed. The IXUS 980 IS, powered by DIGIC 4 (successor to IXUS960) with 14.7 megapixels is equipped with Manual controls to produce superior image quality and minimal noise, that comes in high-quality finishes, with a choice of matte black and silver. The IXUS 870 IS (gold or silver color) comes with 10 megapixels also powered by DIGIC 4, supports wide-angled shooting (28mm), offers Continuous AF Servo, Intelligent Contrast Correction and Face Self-Timer. The IXUS 870 IS is retailed at RM 1,338 (includes free Case and a free 4GB SD card).

Bearing in mind to serve the needs of young users who are looking for a combination of slim, sleek and intelligent, Canon Malaysia introduces its famous Powershot models namely, Powershot SX110IS (9 megapixels) that has created a new breakthrough from its predecessor by providing massive 10 times Zoom, easy-to-use Manual Controls for fussy professionals, the ISO sensitive P mode, TV and AV modes (for aperture and shutter speeds). Other features such as, Face Detection technology, HI-ISO with Motion Detection Technology, Face Selector Button, Auto Red Eye correction and Image Inspection Tool has been included. PowerShot A2000 IS (10 megapixels) comes in a slim and compact design with a 6 times Zoom OIS is powered by DIGIC III Imaging Processor, Face Detection technology AF/AE/FE/WB & AF point zoom (with OIS), noise reduction technology, Face Selector Button and Auto Hi-ISO mode (with Motion Detection). New modes such as, Easy, Sunset and ISO3200 are included to enhance the A2000IS memory. PowerShot A1000IS has a similar version to A2000IS but it comes with a 4 times Zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD screen and four attractive colors namely; Desert Bronze, Deep Ocean, Wine Berry and Volcanic Gray. The PowerShot E1 completes the line-up with similar technology namely, DIGIC III Imaging Processor, advance Face Detection Technology, Hi_ISO Motion Detection Technology and a snazzy Face Selector button. Available in 3 colors, namely cotton pink, aqua blue, and vanilla white, PowerShot E1 offers 10 megapixels, 4 times Zoom with OIS and 3 added scene modes of Easy, Sunset & ISO 3200. The Canon PowerShot SX110IS, A2000IS, A1000IS (with free 2xAAsize batteries) and E1 are available at all authorised Canon dealers with a recommended retail price of RM 1,099, RM799, RM699 and RM699 respectively.

Combining PowerShot models with DIGIC 4 imaging processor technology, Canon Malaysia introduces PowerShot SX1 IS, G10 and SX10 IS. Incorporated with DIGIC 4 processor, PowerShot SX1 IS (10 megapixels) is also the first Canon compact digital camera to implement the CMOS imaging sensor (CMOS is an award-winning imaging sensor found in Canon’s EOS professional D-SLR range). With 20 times Zoom lens (with lens-shift type image stabilizer) and a shooting capability of 16:9 ratio (1920×1080 equivalent of 35mm film) as well as high-speed AF and high definition AE/AWB, it offers a FULL HD recording on moving pictures. The Ultrasonic Motor (USM) and Voice Coil Motor (VCM) systems enable a high-speed, silent and accurate drive for a quick zoom and precise auto-focus. Powered by 21.1 megapixels full frame CMOS sensor with EOS intergrated cleaning system, 14-bit analog-digital conversion to produce the highest image quality with finer tonal gradation, DIGIC 4 engines to offer real-time face detection AF during Live View shooting, Auto Lighting Enhanced Optimizer which automatically corrects image exposure, automatic correction of lens vignetting, and convenience of HDMI output, Canon EOS 5D MarkII caters to professional photographers and advanced photography enthusiasts who demand the best. Meanwhile, Canon Marketing also introduces its new range of high definition camcorders namely, HG20, HG21 and HF11 that features True 1920×1080 Full HD experience by capturing Full HD Video using Full HD Cmos Sensors. The HG20 (comes with 120GB built-in storage) & HG21(comes with 60GB built-in storage) model, the highly efficient H.264 codec enhances all recorded data by allowing video compression without compromising on image quality, and both camcorders offers anti-impact Tamper provided by rubber cushions, magnetic head withdrawal systems that automatically retracts the magnetic writing needle when the camera is dropped & buffer memory recording to store video in memory buffer to prevent recording disruption from power cuts and drops. HF11 implements Dual Flash Memory, with ultra compact and lightweight body, instant start-up, ultra silent and 32GB built-in memory that enables 12 hours 15 minutes recording in LP mode. Overall, HG20, HG21 & HF11 offers optical 12x Zoom, Secure Digital (SD) & Secure Digital High-Definition card (SDHC) compatible, and a helpful copy function between memories to navigate recorded footage easily. To provide digital technology in high resolution scanning at a fast pace, Canon Marketing introduces 3 new smart scanners namely CanoScan 5600F, LiDE 200 and LiDE 100. CanoScan 5600F offers high-quality 4800dpi CCD scanner for documents & film, with a capability of scanning A4 color document at 300dpi in 11 seconds. CanoScan 560F also requires no warm-up time, the use of high brightness White LED as the source for reflective scans and a built-in power source to replace external AC adaptor for additional portability. Not forgetting to offer scanners with great value for home & office users, Canon Marketing also unveils LiDE 200 and LiDE 100 scanners to provide low-power consumption LED, Advance Z-Lid to facilitate scans of thick books and magazines with ease, and smart in utilizing office space. Canon Marketing also provide highly advance projectors such as, XEED series that comes with exceptional contrast and color rich pictures that incorporates AISYS optical system. The XEED SX80 allows easy projection of high quality images from High-Definition camcorders, DVD players and digital cameras. The XEED SX80 Multimedia Projector built with SXGA+ (1400×1050) resolution to attract audience with crisp details and outstanding color reproduction, is retailed at RM19,000.

Returning to its Japanese roots that features sleek curves in ergonomic shape, Canon Marketing has released its new SELPHY ES3 and ES30 compact photo printer for consumers who are seeking a chic but powerful portable photo printer. Powered by DIGIC II processor to enhance quick printing and high quality image, SELPHY ES3 and ES30 come with over 10 image effects, with 3 additional new effects (Nolstalgic, Modern Bright & Pinhole). The SELPHY ES3 and ES30 incorporate a mini built-in editing suite for quick adjustments on exposure, brightness, contrast and color saturation, both models uses SELPHY’s signature Easy-Photo Pack cartridge. Photos can be previewed through 3.5-inch for SELPHY ES3 or 3-inch for SELPHY ES30 LCD screen and printing can be initiated with a touch of a button. Bluetooth (adaptor sold separately) and IrDa (SELPHY ES3 only) capabilities allow users to connect and upload photos from the mobile phone. Canon SELPHY ES3(comes with a 1GB built-in flash memory) and ES30 are retailed at RM 799 & RM649 respectively.

To provide super, great quality photo printing for the home and office, Canon Pixma iP4680, iP3680 and iP1980 (come with built-in Auto Photo Fix removes “red-eye” easily with ‘Easy Photo Print-Ex” software) offer incredible value with photo-lab quality. The iP4680 (with duplex printing option that prints borderless photos up to A4 size) and iP3680 features PictBridge connectivity, high-speed printing and allows printing for up to 9600×2400 dpi (max), 1 pl (min) with Canon’s FINE technology. The Canon PIXMA iP4680, iP3680 and iP1980 printers are retailed at RM508, RM338 and RM188 respectively.

In providing the latest range of affordable monochrome and color printing solutions, Canon Laser Shot LBP3250 (monochrome), LBP5050 (color) and LBP 5050N (color & network) printers have set a new platform as the next generation printers that packed with better and quicker printouts without sacrificing quality for quantity. Ideal for private home use, users will find the Laser Shot LBP5050 to serve their needs. On-Demand Fixing Technology effectively eliminates the need for warm up time. The Canon Advanced Printing Technology (CAPT 3.0) and Hi-Smart Compression Architecture (Hi-SCoA) enhanced the host computer’s memory and processing capabilities instead of relying on the built-in memory. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed enables LBP3250 and LBP5050/5050N to transfer at high speed.The Canon Laser Shot LBP3250, LBP5050 and LBP5050N are retailed at RM1,100, RM1,199 and RM1,650 respectively.

The new range of Lifestyle PIXMA printers from Canon to provide an All-In-One intelligent function and compact space are MP988, MP638, MP628, MP545, MP486 and MP245. The ChromaLife 100+ system ensures that photos are preserved in their original form for up to 300 years. Other features include the bundled Easy-PhotoPrint Ex software that allows easy red-eye removal, Quick-Start, Auto Scan Mode (automatically recognises the document type-photo, post card, newspaper, document and even business cards) and Camera Direct mode automatically offering photo-lab quality printing (up to 9,600 x 2,400 dpi). PIXMA MP545 features laser quality speed and quick start operation, while the PIXMA MP628 allows the user share text printing and scanning duties between multiple PCs (using WiFi connectivity).
