Motorola Malaysia Introduces the New Generation “MOTOTRBO” Professional Digital Two-Way Radio System

Providing demo at the media briefing, Mr. Anthony Man, Two-Way Radio Channel Business Government & Public Safety Product Planning Manager said, “….utilizing a two-slot Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) digital technology, the MOTOTRBO provides a vast improvements in  basic functionality and system performance, system capacity, improved audio quality, longer talk time (up to 13 hours non-stop), built-in privacy, enhanced call signaling and control capabilities for future enhancements…”.

Migrating from its analog era, this first of its kind digital two-way radio also supports integrated data applications such as text messaging, GPS-based location tracking and other IP data applications. With the capability of operating in digital or analog mode, it is possible for professional businesses to easily and affordably migrate to a digital platform at their own pace.

Caters to professional customers in various industries such as transportation, education, construction, manufacturing, private security, smaller munipalities and public service entities which require a highly reliable business critical communication solution, this MOTOTRBO also has a unique “Crystal Clear” feature which filters background noise and interference to enhance voice communication.

Manufacturing plant which is located in Penang, MOTOTRBO is equipped with the latest software release that is capable of supporting Motorola’s IP Site Connect application which enables users to link up to 15 connections, instantly creating a wide-area network where users can share or transfer business-critical voice and data information across multiple or dispersed geographical locations.

In conjunction with the launch of MOTOTRBO, Motorola also unveilied its new RadioCARE Service Program, which is aimed to enhance its after sales service direct to customers. Utilizing specialized service vehicles, Motorola’s RadioCARE service provides an on-location response to customers’ requests which include free consultation, system installation, radio maintenance and servicing such as optimizing and tuning two-way radios.

Retailing from RM 1,500 and above depending on the customers’ solution requirements, the new MOTOTRBO will be available in December through its channel partners.
